Where the Money Goes
It is our intention to allocate funds to repairs on the building by direct payment of invoices for such repairs, in coordination with the Archdiocese of Seattle.
If the Archdiocese of Seattle declines to restore the church building, Save Tacoma’s Landmark Church intends to refund all donations over $1000 (after processing fees and the above 10%, if applicable).
Note: Prior to November 1, 2019, the first 10% of all donations (after paying processing fees) were forwarded directly to Holy Rosary Parish for the “Holy Rosary Parish General Fund”.
A Major Gift… and a Challenge to Succeed
We have received a $1 million pledge from the Jack and Angela Connelly Family Foundation! The pledge consists of $500,000 and an additional $500,000 in matching pledges.
The Foundation will match all donations given from December 3, 2019 to August 31, 2020, up to $500,000.

Benchmarks
Our initial goal is to raise $1 million towards the reconstruction. As of January 9 2020, we have reached this goal!
Further goals are set according to benchmarks described by the Archdiocese in an open meeting on May 29, 2019:
- $2.249 million to conduct repairs and erect scaffolding necessary to reoccupy the church.
- $6.691 million to completely repair the roof.
- $17.6 million to completely restore the church and other buildings.
