Pray for Holy Rosary Church

Please join us on Tuesday evenings wherever you are in praying the sorrowful mysteries of the Rosary for our church and our parish community.

First Mystery: The Agony in the Garden
As Jesus contemplated the suffering He would endure for our sins, He asked the Father to spare him, but only if it was the Father’s will to do so. As we pray for our parish church, Lord, we ask that you restore this beautiful building for your people, but foremost we ask that your will, not ours, be done.

Second Mystery: The Scourging at the Pillar
Lord, when you said the Pharisees could destroy the temple and you would raise it up in three days, they failed to understand that you spoke of the temple of your body. That temple was brutally disfigured by the cruelty of the guards, but three days later rose from death in glory. Our earthly temple, dedicated to your blessed Mother, has been disfigured, and we pray that you will restore it as a sign of your glory.

Third Mystery: The Crowning with Thorns
Lord, the soldiers did not know they were forcing this cruel crown onto the brow of the true king. They taunted you by pretending to pay homage to you. We, the people whom you have gathered to yourself, have built you this church as true homage to you, and crowned it with the sign your death made glorious − the cross. We ask that you strengthen and guide our efforts to make it once again a place where you are worshipped and glorified.

Fourth Mystery: The Carrying of the Cross
Lord, as you dragged your cross through the jeering mob, you foresaw the redemption your death and resurrection would bring. We cannot foresee what will be the end of our parish’s sufferings, but we know that by your holy cross you have already won the victory. Help us to take comfort in your promises to your people, and to know that whatever befalls our individual parish, the gates of hell themselves cannot prevail against your Church.

Fifth Mystery: The Crucifixion and Death of Jesus
Lord, at your death you entrusted your blessed Mother to the care of your apostle St. John. Today your people gather to pray for this church, dedicated to your blessed Mother and entrusted to the care of a successor of the apostles, our archbishop Paul Etienne. As St. John provided for Our Lady’s needs in this life, we ask that you guide and strengthen Archbishop Etienne in his efforts to provide for this parish.
