My name is Rebecca Gulino and I am a parishioner at Holy Rosary.

When I moved to Tacoma after graduating college out-of-state in 2014, after searching around I chose Holy Rosary to become my parish. The atmosphere, the reverent liturgy, the diverse community and the beautiful worship space all felt like home. There is a uniqueness to the worship at Holy Rosary that I haven’t experienced elsewhere in Tacoma.

Testimonial: Our Church, Our Community

My husband Tom and I started attending Mass at Holy Rosary about 25 years ago. The reason we went is because it was a perfect beautiful church and time (8 am) for us to have an hour together with God and to be inspired by the homily and still be able to take care of our weekend chores.

We retired around 2014 and I became a caretaker for my Father. We had extra time and joined and restarted the Saint Vincent de Paul Conference at Holy Rosary. Last year we helped at least 320 families / individuals. If Holy Rosary closes its doors, our program will end.

We’ve been in the news a little lately: from KIRO TV to the News Tribune, to the Seattle Times. All the attention online, from blog postings to FB, have focused on the closure of the HR church building. That’s all great – but resolving that crisis is beyond us right now.
